I am using a DJI Phantom 4 pro+ to record video of these roads. There are few problems I am facing firstly I am not able to find the srt files of the recording even after enabling the video caption in dji go app. and secondly I want to export the coordinates of the selected locations I have marked in the video to either excel format or in RGIS and google earth.
We don't mind buying the pro version if we can get the functionalities we are looking for. This is going to be a big project so we will be needing multiple licenses from your end and a solution on this as soon as possible. You can contact me on +919975577500 to talk further. Your prompt reply would be really appreciated.
Thanks
Hello,
To answer your first question, The DJI Phantom 4 Pro does not store separate .SRT files, but instead stores the GPS data in the Closed Captioning. The FREE version of Video GeoTagger can directly import this format, however the PRO version can export the track as an unencrypted .GPX file.
Regarding your second question, can you specify how you are marking the locations in the video? Is that happening within the DJI Go App? Once we know more about your requirements we can take it to engineering as a feature request.

How to enable closed captioning?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/10BArTaVpaJo4OirtrpKGus_RZ6ZGnMWy/view?usp=sharing
with regards to the marking i have uploaded a video link above of the sample video.
For example i have taking a video of a 2 km stretch of road and i want to mark 10 points between those 2 km.
I am able to geotag the video and those 10 points using the Video geotagger and can see the longitude and latitude as well, when i get my cursor on the marked point.
what i want to know is can i extract the coordinates of the marked points to google earth or rgps?
or any plugin were we can get the list of those marked point with their longitudinal and latitudinal coordinates in a list.
Thanks
Mayur
Hello Mayur,
Thank you for uploading the video. It looks like you are "manually" geotagging the video by adding your own GPS points.
So the PRO version allows you to do some things that aren't available in the FREE version of Video GeoTagger.
In PRO you can save and export an unencrypted .GPX file, which can then be used with other software such as Google Earth. So - yes - in your case these would be the GPS points you added manually to show the drone's route.
In PRO you can also open Phantom 4 Pro videos that have the GPS-enabled in the Closed Caption support, and the software will automaticlaly map the video so you do not have to manually geotag it.
You can try out Video GeoTagger PRO for a free seven day trial on the same page where you downloaded the FREE version: https://www.videogeotagger.com/download/
Please let us know if you have any more questions.
