To access the Livestream management panel click the Admin button in the upper left corner of the LineVision Online primary interface. Here you will see available livestream endpoint information, how many livestreams have been allocated to your account, the option to add a livestream (if applicable), and a list of any livestreams already configured.
Add Live Stream #
To add a new livestream click the Add Livestream button. Enter a name for the livestream and click the save icon button.
A detailed livestream panel will appear for the new livestream.
Livestream Information & Settings Panel #
Enabled #
Check this box when you want this specific livestream to be available.
State #
This displays the current state of the livestream. The state will display one of the following: Not Available, Listening, Recording, Shutting Down, or Not Listening.
NOTE: If you can’t get the State to change to Listening, try clicking the check box off on Enabled, save, then recheck and save again.
Recording #
Check this box when you want to record the content from this specific livestream for future availability on LineVision Online.
Altitude Mode #
This drop down let’s you select the altitude mode that best suits your data capture platform. The best option may vary depending on your platform type and available metadata.
PRO TIP: If you are not seeing the GPS track on the map, try adjusting these settings.
Mode #
This option allows you to select the type of video with GPS metadata the livestream will consume. The two options are:
Video with KLV Data (MISB) #
This will typically be the option used by platforms with military/law enforcement and higher-end industrial gyro-stabilized gimbal cameras capable of outputting a MISB FMV/STANAG 4609-spec transport stream with embedded KLV data.
Video with Separate Data Stream (geoDVR) #
This option is typically used for our geoDVR recorders configured with the Live Video and GPS Streaming module. This could include a range of camera setups from fixed-mount cameras to high-end gyro-stabilized gimbal cameras using Remote GeoSystems Camera Target Footprint (CTF) protocol.
Ports #
This will display the status of the video and GPS data ports when using the Video with Separate GPS Data Stream mode.
Allowed Groups #
This allows you to choose a group who can view the livestream as well as give them specific permissions. When View Archive is checked, it will make the members of that group able to view the videos that have been recorded on that channel through the Live Streams Browser.
Allowed Users #
This allows you to choose a user who can view the livestream as well as give them specific permissions. When View Archive is checked, it will make the person able to view the videos that have been recorded on that channel through the Live Streams Browser.
Allowed Source IPV4 Addresses #
This field allows you to whitelist IPV4 addresses.
Allowed Source IPV6 Addresses #
This field allows you to whitelist IPV6 addresses.
Description #
This field allows you to enter a description for your livestream. By default it shows the date and time the livestream was created.
Save Live Stream #
Once the settings have been configured, click the Save button.
NOTE: You must first save the livestream Mode setting before checking the Enabled check box and saving again to enable the livestream.
Warnings #
To ensure your livestream doesn’t lose video or GPS data midstream, don’t change any settings while recording. Changing the Mode, Allowed Source Addresses, Enabled state, Ports, or other details could pause your video while it reloads.
