Start a Report Using a geoProject

In order to create a report using a geoProject, a geoProject must first be uploaded to LineVision Online. This can be done via LineVision Desktop or the LineVision Online uploader.

Only videos that have Camera Target Footprint (CTF) are eligible for this process. If CTF was not calculated by the camera, follow the steps in the Estimated Camera Target Footprint document and use the exported video for this process. Learn more about Estimated Camera Target Footprint by clicking here.

In the Reporting module, click Start Report. To the right of the Start Report button, select the applicable form to use as a template for the report. If you have not yet created a form to use, that step must be completed first. Learn more about creating a form by clicking here.

If no .KMLs are available for reporting, you won't see any in the grey box.

You may see .KML files available for reporting, as below, if you have uploaded any to LineVision Online at other times.

Start a report by clicking Start Report and selecting the appropriate form.

However, since you are creating a report using a geoProject, not a .KML, do not select any .KMLs for reporting.

Click Begin Report.

PRO TIP:  Set the date range to when the video in the geoProject was collected to see only media associated with the data collection flight.

Set the date range in the search criteria for the date the video in the geoProject was collected.

This will open the form that was selected and allow the user to input data. Select the geoProject to be used for the data collection using the Select geoProject dropdown. Only applicable videos (ones with CTF calculated) will be visible.

Only applicable videos will appear below.

NOTE: In the image above, some users may see media appear in the grey box depending on permissions. This will be used in future versions and is not necessary now.

Play and pause the video using the respective buttons above the video. Make the video full screen with the button to the right of the pause button.

Play and pause buttons are above the video.

To add a point to report on, click a spot of interest on the video and click save on the map. After filling out the required data, you have to click Submit to save each point.
