NOTE: Annotations are a method in LineVision for marking points of interest (POI) on the map. In addition to marking POIs, you can also associate other media, documents and files to an annotation.
Add Annotations in LineVision Online #
To create an annotation on the map simply use your mouse to right-click on the desired location on the map and then select Add Annotation.
Enter a name for the annotation and click the Save button.
Referring to the image below, a blue dot will appear on the map representing its location and you will also see the annotation in the Media Browser.
Edit Annotation Details #
To view or edit annotation details, right click on the annotation in the media browser and click “View Details”.
This will bring up general info about the annotation where you change the name, description, long/lat info, altitude, and altitude mode.
IMPORTANT: After making any changes to your annotation, such as adding items, make sure to navigate back to the Info tab and click Save before closing the annotation details.
Adding Items to Annotations #
LineVision Online supports adding files to your annotations. This can be for any extra information you would like to add about details of the surrounding area, or for consolidating pictures of points of interest.
NOTE: You should be able to attach virtually any document or file format type to the map location. However, you must have a native program for that document already installed on the same PC you wish to open or modify the document or file.
Items you add to the annotation will be viewable under the “Items” tab when viewing the annotation details. Any number of extra items can be added to annotations.
