Current Position Icon #

This submenu contains various options on what type of vehicle on what the user will be using to capture data.  This setting will be automatically set to the Default circular yellow marker.

Icon Size  #

The menu item lets you select between Small, Medium and Large icon sizes.

GPS Point Info Box Display Options #

 

This submenu contains various options on how to display GPS Point info when hovering over a red GPS point with the cursor.

Always Show Info #

Select this option if you would like to see a “pop up” box with detailed GPS point information each time you hover over a GPS point along the video’s track.

Hide if MISB/Camera Target is Present #

Select this option to hide the above pop up box when the video contains extra camera orientation metadata such as MISB FMV/STANAG 4609-spec or Remote GeoSystems Camera Target Footprint (CTF) protocol.

Never Show Info #

Select this option to always hide the above pop up box.

Show GPS Point Labels #

If you have previously labeled GPS points by right-clicking the GPS video track, select this option to be sure the labels are displayed.

Set to United States View #

Select this option to pan the Map Viewer to a view of the continental United States when the software starts.

Set to World View #

Select this option to pan the Map Viewer to a view of the entire world when the software starts.

Change Base Layer #

Select this menu item to change the base layer of the map.

This drop down menu contains the following Esri base map options:

  • World Street Map – Roads & Features
  • Imagery – Satellite/Aerial Imagery
  • Topo – Elevations & Contours
  • Ocean – Seafloor Geography & Depths

Add Layer #

Select this menu item to add a layer streaming data layer, such as Tile, Dynamic or Feature layer from an organization’s ArcGIS Enterprise system.

Set Waypoint / GPS Point Point Size #

This allows you to set the size of the the points that show up on the map for both Waypoints and GPS Points, to make them larger or smaller.

 

Add Shapefile #

Select this menu item to load an Esri-compatible vector shapefile as a map layer.

Add Raster #

Select this menu item to load an Esri-compatible raster imagery file as a map layer.

Load KML/KMZ File #

Select this menu item to load geographic data in a KML or KMZ format. For example, data might include pipeline leak-detection sensor data, utility & pipeline asset network, patrol waypoints, or vector & imagery data.

NOTE: KML/KMZ files imported into LineVision may not display all the data elements visible in LineVision Google Earth.

Load Boreal KML/KMZ File #

Select this menu item to load a Boreal Laser gas leak detection system (LDS) KML or KMZ file.

Load Custom KML/KMZ File #

Select this menu item to load a custom KML or KMZ file.  NOTE:  This is the most commonly supported option.

Enter Esri Runtime License #

Select this menu item to enter an Esri runtime license key if applicable.

 

Reset Esri Runtime License #

Select this menu item to delete a previously-entered Esri runtime license key and enter a new one if applicable.

Authenticate with Esri OAuth #

NOTE:  This functionality is currently unavailable as it is in the process of being updated to support newer Esri user authentication standards.

Use Accelerated Map Display #

Select this option to have the mapping engine run on the PC’s GPU.  NOTE:  Not all graphics cards can support this option and may cause unexpected errors.  With graphics cards that do support this option, it may cause longer map loading times.

Enable Performance Handling #

Select this option to reduce the number of GPS points based on zoom level in order to optimize performance.  Uncheck this option to see all of the GPS points.  NOTE: Unchecking this option may cause a noticeable drop in performance.
