Many later GoPro models offer the ability to embed the MP4 video files with GPS data. Video from many of these models can be loaded directly to Remote GeoSystems software without having to geotag.
Go to the File menu > Open Single Video…
Use Windows Explorer to navigate and select the GoPro MP4 video file with embedded GPS data.
Referencing the image below, a new window should open. Check the box Extract GPS Data from GoPro Video.
Referencing the image below, if the video contains supported GPS data, a red track will appear on the map and the video will play with a position indicator moving along the track.
