MISB FMV (STANAG 4609) Video Creation > Approximate Esri Compatibility Data #
Esri ArcGIS Pro software (with the Image Analyst extension) usually requires MISB-FMV/STANAG 4609-spec videos with metadata that supports drawing a “camera target footprint” (CTF) intersection with the Earth’s surface to properly display on the map. However, with the exception of modern airborne gyro-stabilized gimbals, very few video camera platforms provide this extra metadata and only provide GPS data for the platform’s position – not where the the cameras is actually looking down on the map. This usually includes popular camera platforms like action cameras, cell phones, many smaller drones and marine cameras. By leaving this option selected, LineVision Desktop – Ultimate will usually output MISB-spec full motion video (FMV) files that will properly display in Esri ArcGIS Pro software with platform-only position displayed on the map.
