Generate a Report #
Select this menu item to automatically generate a report using the data currently in the Media Browser.
Standard Report #
Use this for most georeferenced videos that were NOT recorded with a Remote GeoSystems geoDVR recorder.
Waypoint/Annotation Spreadsheet Report #
Exports waypoints and annotations to a Microsoft Excel file. The report includes details including latitude, longitude, status, issue, and a thumbnail photo.
geoDVR Data Report #
Use this report generation option for most georeferenced videos that were recorded with a Remote GeoSystems geoDVR recorder.
By Waypoints #
This option allows you to customize your report headers with details about the project, and then exports waypoints collected by the geoDVR in a Microsoft Word report.
By Video Channels #
Fill out desired report headers (screenshot above), and then create a report based on geoDVR video channels. For more detailed information on using this feature please see the Report Generation article.
Report Settings #
This option allows you to adjust how reports are generated.
Connect to Live Network/Internet Video Stream #
This menu item will allow you to connect to a live video stream (with or without GPS data). Typical uses might be for viewing live video with location data from a data collection platform in the field such as an aircraft, drone or subsea ROV, but could be as simple as a network-connected stationary video camera.
Launch Remote KMZ to KML Converter #
Converts a zipped Google Earth KMZ file to an unzipped KML file.
Combine Video GPS Companion Files #
Select this menu item to combine one or more GPS companion files that were collected in chronological order
Launch Waypoint Description Drill Down Menu Builder #
Select this menu item to launch the Waypoint Description Menu Builder window. For more information on using this feature please see the Drill Down Waypoint Description Menu Builder article.
geoDVR Video Tools #
Extract GPS Data from geoDVR Video #
Select this menu item to create a new GPS companion file from a geoDVR video file.
NOTE: This is typically only used with older geoDVR systems recording the videos as .AVI files. This feature will NOT recover any waypoints taken, as those are stored in the original .GPX file and not the geoDVR Whisper embedded video.
Search Settings #
Set Search Locations #
This menu item will allow you to set your search directories so media can be searched for from within LineVision Desktop.
Add applicable folders to the Search Directory using the Add Search Directory button.
Set Search Radius #
This menu item will allow you to set the search radius for items on the map.
