In 2025 Remote GeoSystems began offering the geoDVR Gen4 /2 (pronounced “slash 2”) to replace the original geoDVR Gen4 which was originally released in 2022. As various components became unavailable, and newer options offered better performance and more features, we realized it was time for a “refresh” of the original geoDVR Gen4. To insure a “plug and play” replacement option for existing customers and OEM partners, we decided to utilize the same form factor and power requirements as the original geoDVR Gen4.
Here are primary updates for the geoDVR Gen4 /2:
– New CPU for Faster Memory
– New Motherboard featuring Mini-Display Port and High-Speed USB 3.2 Gen 2
– New Video Card featuring More Video Quality Settings
– 2 Additional Ethernet Ports (for a total of 3)
– Optional Direct Recording of MISB FMV/STANAG 4609-spec Video Onboard the geoDVR (requires the optional module)
